New Hanger - LEED Certified

IMEG provided MEP and Technology engineering for this project that included a replacement maintenance hangar facility and helipad for existing AirCare medical flight services. It includes a hangar for medical helicopters with maintenance shop, office, lounge and sleeping quarters. Sitework included new helipad, relocating existing fuel tank, new fueling pumps, helipad and security lighting, and perimeter fencing.

 

MEP systems included ERV, Ground Water Source Heat Pumps in office/ maintenance, radiant heating in hangar, snow melt system,T-5 high bay lighting, lighting controls, telecommunications, and security and camera system.

 

Central to its design is its solutions to resistance to the elements, solar orientation and ease of access. This project received LEED certification.

 

Designs also included hydraulic hangar door, epoxy flooring, clerestory for daylighting, and ICC-500 tornado shelter.
