Edwin Dean, P.E., S.E., is Client Executive of IMEG’s Portland office and a principal of the firm. He has more than 25 years experience in structural engineering and project management.

Prior to establishing Dean Engineering in 1998 and Nishkian Dean in 1999, he actively participated in the design of hundreds of commercial, institutional, and industrial projects. Many of these projects featured designs that required specialized consideration of detailed technical issues and the complex project management of a concerted engineering effort and other challenges. He is the past chairman and founder of the ACE Mentor Program of Oregon, Inc.; a member of the Charles Pankow Foundation Advisory Board; served on the City of Portland’s Structural Advisory Committee; is a former board member of the National Institute of Building Sciences Building Seismic Safety Council; is a past president of the Applied Technology Council; and is a former member of the Oregon Seismic Policy Advisory Committee. Edwin holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Civil Engineering from the University of Washington.
