New Corporate Office Building

IMEG provided structural engineering design and services for the NVIDIA Voyager project which is Phase II of the NVIDIA corporate headquarters located in Santa Clara, CA.

The project consists of a new, three-story office building with a conference center, video recording studio, and mezzanine levels enclosing approximately 750,000-sf over a two-level underground parking garage. The office building is constructed utilizing structural steel with concrete fill over metal deck floors, and a vaulted roof covering the entire building. The ground floor and below grade parking level is constructed of cast-in-place concrete.

Unique features include faceted, architectural roof with 260 triangle skylights, aluminum panel interior “heart” structure, raised floors with underfloor HVAC, in-slab radiant heating/cooling, 220,000-sf of terrazzo flooring and a 90-foot-long span central atrium. The project incorporated sustainable and biophilic design features to attain LEED Gold certification.

The project won an American Institute of Steel Construction 2024 Innovative Design in Engineering and Architecture with Structural Steel (IDEAS²) Award for Excellence in Architecture. The IDEAS² awards, the structural steel industry’s highest design honor, recognize projects that highlight the benefits of using structural steel for its sustainability, cost, speed, reliability, and resilience.
