New High School Gymnasium

IMEG’s Los Angeles structural team (formerly Nishkian Chamberlain) provided engineering design and services for a Hilda L. Solis Learning Academy’s new 15,000-sf, two-story gymnasium. The first floor of the new building houses a gymnasium as well as locker rooms and miscellaneous storage rooms. The second floor contains office space, dance halls, and a conference room. The design included concrete masonry unit (CMU) construction with concrete over metal deck and steel framed floors and roof. The building falls under the jurisdiction of the Division of the State Architect (DSA) and the Los Angeles Unified School District (LAUSD).
