New Hotel and Hospitality Learning Center

IMEG provided engineering design for Metropolitan State University of Denver’s Hotel and Hospitality Learning Center (HLC). Located on the Auraria Campus, the LEED Gold HLC is the home to the School of Hospitality, Events and Tourism at MSU Denver.

The building incorporates a 150-unit hotel, hotel conference center and kitchen, student classrooms, and teaching laboratories into one complex located in the urban setting of downtown Denver. The project is designed for energy savings of 20% over the ASHRAE baseline. Key sustainable features include a high efficiency chiller and energy efficient lighting and controls, providing energy savings for the owner and comfort for users and guests.

IMEG teamed with the mechanical and electrical contractors as part of a consolidated design-build effort to achieve the highest quality project while meeting the budget requirements of the school and hotel.
