New Water Gremlin Facility

Water Gremlin, a maker of fishing lures and battery terminals, needed to consolidate its operations into a single facility; but the challenges didn’t end there. Less than ideal soil conditions and significant loads dictated the building be supported by something other than typical spread footing foundations.

Working with Edward Farr Architects and Anderson Company, IMEG was able to meet the project and site challenges. Design of the new Water Gremlin facility incorporated a warehouse, light manufacturing and assembly, and research and development all into one large 84,000 square foot space.

The solution was to support the shell structure on concrete grade beams and driver piles. The heavy loaded slab was designed and constructed as a significantly reinforced structural slab supports.
