Public School Renovation

Southmoor Elementary was renovated in 2014 and again in 2018. IMEG provided mechanical, electrical, and plumbing services for both renovations. The 2014 design included duct, diffuser, and exhaust fan replacement with the addition of a fan coil to serve the information technology areas. IMEG added a wash fountain, replaced the sinks in all classrooms, and updated the single-use restrooms. The electrical work for the 2014 renovation included lighting replacement in all renovated areas, new access controls, and power for mechanical support. 

The 2018 renovation included the replacement of a rooftop air conditioning unit that included a new gas meter and gas piping throughout the building. Along with replacing the unit, a plan was provided to ensure replacement of the remainder of the rooftop units in the future. A new electrical service was also provided, and the main electrical distribution was replaced. IMEG also replaced the outdated panel boards throughout.
