Renovation

IMEG provided civil engineering and surveying services for the renovation of this bilingual charter school into Washington D.C.’s first “green” public charter school. Project efforts included schematic design, design development, construction drawings, and construction administration. Additional services performed included bringing this bilingual charter school into compliance with the DC Green Building Act. Survey services included ALTA/ACSM land title surveys and existing conditions surveys.

The new school and annex building accommodates 500 students. The design of the campus includes garden classrooms and a grey water system. Mundo Verde was the first charter school in D.C. to have achieved LEED Gold and Platinum certifications.
