Veterans Outreach Clinic Site Plan

The Montana Veterans Health Administration recently contract-ed a team for a Design/Build Community Based Outreach Clinic (CBOC) in Missoula that will replace the existing David J. Thatcher VA Clinic. The new 56,700-sf clinic will be nearly 300% bigger than the old facility and will be more easily accessible due to its new location near multiple highways.

The facility, once completed, will host a variety of medical ser-vices for veterans of Missoula and the surrounding area, including primary care, women’s health, lab work, a pharmacy, sleep therapy, prosthetic services, telehealth, physical therapy, and an array of other exams and treatment spaces.

IMEG worked with Leo A Daly and PMRG on the preliminary civil site and utility designs, which included preparing meeting specifications & standards for layout to address VA facility needs for parking, ADA accessibility, pedestrian circulation requirements, and access to site amenities.

The project groundbreaking took place in July 2020, with the clinic opening in mid-2022.
