City of Madison Fire Station 14 receives ACEC Wisconsin Best of State Award

The City of Madison’s LEED Platinum Fire Station 14 has won ACEC Wisconsin’s 2021 Engineering Excellence Best of State Award

IMEG provided structural, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, technology, and security design, as well as construction administration services for the project, which includes sustainability features such as a ground-source geothermal borefield and a 50kW solar photovoltaic array.

The facility houses the Madison Fire Department’s first fulltime paramedic engine, provides year-round fire rescue training for new emergency services personnel, hosts community gatherings, and fulfills a significant need in an area of the city that was previously underserved.
