Construction begins on Iowa State veterinary diagnostic lab
Construction has begun on Iowa State University’s new Veterinary Diagnostic Laboratory, a $75 million project that is expected to be completed in 2023. IMEG is providing mechanical, electrical, fire protection, technology, and security engineering design and services for the project.
The new 77,000-sf facility will incorporate critical biosafety and biocontainment features, infrastructure for sample receiving and processing, pathology, bacteriology, necropsy, histopathology, and an incinerator. The facility will also include specialized flexible laboratory spaces that can adapt to user needs.
