IMEG project wins ACEC Illinois Special Achievement Award
IMEG provided civil design and engineering services for the Jefferson Street Pedestrian Bridge in Rockford, Ill., winner of an ACEC Illinois 2022 Excellence in Engineering Special Achievement Award.
The awards recognize projects of engineering achievement and excellence by Illinois consulting engineering firms. Entries are judged based on engineering excellence, the degree to which the client’s needs are met, and the benefits to the public welfare and private practice of engineering.
This project featured extensive collaboration between IMEG and the different firms involved to coordinate the construction of the bridge amid other ongoing projects in the area. In addition, various sustainability measures were taken to help ensure the longevity of the bridge could reach its maximum.
