IMEG to provide design for $128 million addition and renovation to Franciscan Health Munster Hospital
IMEG Corp. will provide engineering design and services for a $128 million addition and renovation to the Franciscan Health Munster Hospital in Munster, IN. The project will include the construction of a new 210,000-sf patient tower with associated 56,000-sf renovation and construction of a new central plant to support the campus. Space will be added to the existing medical office building through a three-floor, 66,000-sf vertical expansion.
The eight-story patient tower will include expansion of the emergency and imaging departments, cath labs, birthing unit, a 24-bed ICU, two 25-bed Intermediate Care Units, support spaces, helipad, and room for future growth. IMEG will provide structural, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, fire protection, and technology design.
The facility is expected to be completed in 2026.
