Rock Island cuts ribbon on high school renovations, new library and YMCA

Rock Island unveiled a renovated Rock Island High School and a new shared Rock Island Public Library and Two Rivers YMCA in February.

IMEG provided engineering services for both projects.

The former Tri-City Jewish Center received a $9.9 million renovation to create a partnership between the library and YMCA designed to maximize resources and enhance collaboration. The new library includes book stacks, a 140-seat auditorium, teen area, outdoor patio, conference room, and private study rooms. The Y houses a gym, group exercise and equipment areas, and a commercial kitchen.

IMEG provided civil, structural, mechanical, electrical, and plumbing engineering design, along with surveying services.
