New Fitness Center

IMEG provided structural renovation for improvements to an existing retail facility, creating a new Equinox Fitness center, totaling approximately 35,000 square feet. Significant improvements included the coordination of mezzanine-level demolition, structural support of a new elevator, and floor strengthening to support fitness club loading. We provided analytical analysis for floor vibration characteristics based on the new use of space and collaborated with a vibration consultant to determine retrofit requirements for floor framing which were necessary due to long, 60-foot span girders in one area of the club. The retrofit solution allowed the client to utilize their optimum club layout without restriction.
