New Joint Forces Readiness Center – LEED Gold

IMEG provided the mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and fire protection design services for the Joint Forces Readiness Center (JFRC) complex in Cheyenne. The 140,000-sf building consists of office spaces for the Wyoming National Guard, including the Adjutant General Office, auditorium, kitchen and cafeteria, and personal training room. The project was awarded LEED Gold. Mechanical systems for the JFRC utilize water-to-water heat pumps, horizontal geothermal loop field, and variable air volume air handling systems.

In addition to the office building, the complex includes a maintenance facility. The National Guard’s 20,000-sf Field Maintenance Shop (FMS) includes service bays, wash bays, and lube oil systems. The FMS portion incorporates heating and ventilating units, vehicle exhaust, exhaust for rated storage rooms for batteries, power, lighting, and zone controls for all systems.
