New Public Library & Cultural Arts Center

IMEG provided mechanical and plumbing engineering design services for this new, two-story, 45,000-sf library and 13,500-sf arts center.

Library features include expanded collections areas; dedicated spaces for story time, teens and tweens; a secure outdoor children’s area; small group study rooms; a community room and flexible classroom space; Friends of the Library book store; and improved technology features. The Cultural Arts Center includes a flexible, 250-seat black box theater with state-of-the-art sound system, art and dance studios, and gallery display space.

The campus-like environment features a central paseo between the two structures, dedicated outdoor plazas, and a great lawn providing space for additional programming.

The 4.7-acre site includes drop-off areas, access for specialized backstage theater equipment, a 234-space parking area, on-site runoff capture, and native and drought-tolerant landscaping.
