IMEG’s Lincoln Pearce presents ASHRAE award to ISU

IMEG Client Executive and Iowa State University alumnus Lincoln Pearce recently presented his alma mater with a plaque of the ASHRAE First Place Technology Award for the LEED Gold renovation of historic Marston Hall. Pearce had accepted the award on behalf of ISU and the project team during the ASHRAE Winter Conference held earlier this year in Las Vegas. The award recognizes outstanding achievement in the design and operation of energy-efficient buildings.

“We were very excited and happy to know that Iowa State University and our design team would receive recognition for this project after years of work,” Pearce said. “It was a great feeling knowing our industry peers agreed this project was worthy of the award.”

IMEG provided engineering design and services for the renovation of the 65,000-sf building, which serves as the home of the College of Engineering and is a landmark on the ISU campus. As a result of the renovation, the university is saving $37,000 per year in annual energy costs.
