Laura Hagan

Structural Engineer

Laura Hagan is IMEG’s Embodied Carbon Reduction Champion and leader of the firm’s Structural Sustainability Task Force. She has 10 years of professional experience in structural engineering design, during which she has worked continuously to create effective, economical, and sustainable structural solutions.

She brings a broad spectrum of experience to the client, including design of multi-family residential buildings, mixed-use residential, commercial, K-12 education, municipal, and institutional projects, as well as renovations, remodels, excavation shoring, and building shoring. Laura has experience completing structural analysis and design, drawing preparations, permit/plan check, constructional administration, and client communication. In her current role as a project engineer, Laura’s responsibilities comprise of leading and advancing the structural sustainability initiatives at IMEG, including a focus on reducing embodied carbon in structures. Laura also serves on multiple sustainable design committees, including serving as the Vice Chair of the National Council of Structural Engineers Associations Sustainable Design Committee.
