Lea is experienced in the design of a variety of projects and has expertise in structural engineering for new buildings, expansions, and historic renovations. She guides the structural design process and coordinates with other design disciplines while managing ongoing client relationships and developing new clientele. Lea is a registered professional engineer in Maryland, New York, and Pennsylvania and is a member of the Association of Medical Facility Professionals, American Society of Civil Engineers, Commercial Real Estate Women, and Urban Land Institute. Her designs have received multiple awards, including the National Council of Structural Engineers Associations 2018 Outstanding Project in the Forensic/Renovation/Retrofit/Rehabilitation Structures over $20 million category. Lea has also published several articles, including those published in Modern Steel Construction, STRUCTURE Magazine, and Engineering News-Record.
