IMEG provided MEP and technology design along with acoustics services for the new, 6,000-sf facility that will house exhibits, an amphitheater and staging area for hikers.

The nature center’s location near the Volcan Mountain Preserve, William Heise County Park, and the Cleveland National Forest makes it a welcome addition to San Diego’s rural area. The facility is designed to provide a sustainability-focused experience that connects people to the outdoors while promoting the county’s “Live Well” goals.

The nature center is expected to be completed in fall 2019 and seek both LEED Gold and Net Zero Energy certifications.
