Executive guide released on new project oversight method that reduces owner risk

A newly published IMEG executive guide, “Concept to Consumption,” outlines a new, outcome-based process that safeguards building owners’ investments in high-performance design.

“This wholistic project oversight method focuses on the targeted operational performance of a completed building and leverages data to hold the entire team accountable,” says Adam McMillen, IMEG Director of Sustainability and co-author of the guide along with IMEG Commissioning Team Leader Lincoln Pearce. “This protects the building performance and reduces financial risk for owners.”

The free guide also includes a case study on a project that utilized this outcome-based approach, which led to a correction in operations that is saving the owner $24,000 per year in operating costs.
