The St. Louis Construction News and Review reports that $101 million of the $550 million budget for the future SSM Health Saint Louis University Hospital is allocated to medical technology that will provide state-of-the-art patient care and tracking.

According to the story, the project includes 16 operating rooms, five cardiac interventional rooms, seven special procedure rooms, seven CTs, three MRIs, three nuclear medicine suites and eight endoscopy suites. In addition, $12 million is targeted for IT equipment specifically for computerized medical records.

IMEG is providing MEP, fire protection, and technology design for the new medical center, which will replace the existing, adjacent SLU Hospital. Substantial completion is expected by May of 2020.
