New leadership named for IMEG’s San Francisco structural team

Joseph Camajani has been named principal and client executive of IMEG’s San Francisco structural team, one of three recent promotions that will drive practice management, design innovation, and professional development for the team.

Mr. Camajani, SE, joined the firm in 2020 as operations manager and senior structural engineer. The San Francisco native has over 17 years of experience ranging from seismic structural design in California to engineering management on five different continents for firms in each of the AEC fields. His management style is driven by project priorities and delivered confidently with exceptional communication skills, founded on technical expertise. He is a licensed structural engineer in California, a CalOES Disaster Service Worker, and a member of the Structural Engineers Association of Northern California. He earned a Bachelor of Science with honors in Civil Engineering from Cal Poly San Luis Obispo.

Joe Gulden, SE, LEED AP, has been promoted to project executive. He joined Nishkian Menninger, now IMEG in 2019 as a senior structural engineer. He has over 17 years of experience serving clients in the San Francisco Bay Area and beyond. He blends a client-based approach, backed by cost-effective and creative technical solutions that have resulted in the successful delivery of projects including mid- and high-rise structures, offices, labs, and commercial developments, podium structures, and seismic retrofits. He is a licensed structural engineer in California and Oregon as well as a member of the Structural Engineers Association of Northern California. He earned a Bachelor of Science in Architectural Engineering from Cal Poly San Luis Obispo.

Loren Byrne, PE, also has been promoted to project executive. He joined Nishkian Menninger, now IMEG in 2013 and quickly became an essential member of the design team, working on a wide array of projects including commercial office buildings, campus complexes, tenant improvements, and industrial developments. He has grown the industrial and commercial sectors in the San Francisco office and heads up a team of engineers to tackle challenging designs with creative solutions. He is a licensed professional engineer in California and a member of the Structural Engineers Association of Northern California and the Urban Land Institute. He earned a Bachelor of Science in Architectural Engineering from Cal Poly San Luis Obispo.

The three leaders will continue to spearhead structural engineering and design efforts for the San Francisco team, carrying on the legacy of recently retired Levon Nishkian and Kevin Menninger, who started Nishkian Menninger 33 years ago before merging with IMEG in 2019.
