Santa Ysabel Nature Center opens to public

The new Santa Ysabel Nature Center held a grand opening Dec. 14 to celebrate the completion of the Zero Net Energy center. IMEG provided mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and acoustics design for the new facility, which features a state-of-the-art interactive interpretive learning room, offices, kitchen, meeting space, and water refiling station for visitors. The facility is powered by a rooftop photovoltaic system. 

The design intent of the new nature center was to provide a sustainability-focused experience connecting people to the outdoors and promoting the county’s “Live Well” goals.
