Building Reconstruction and Addition

Located in downtown Detroit’s Central Business District, The 129-room Shinola Hotel stands eight (8) stories tall on Woodward Avenue. The rehabilitation of the TB Rayl Co. Building and Singer Sewing Machine Building involved the demolition and reconstruction of three buildings and an addition. In addition to the 129 guest rooms, the hotel features a lobby, mezzanine lounge, social living room and conservatory, multiple bars, restaurants, event space, and retail.
