Existing Buildings Renovation

The 10-year Enterprise Master Plan (EMP) is designed to transform CHOC into a leading destination for children’s health. The EMP includes both new construction and renovation of existing buildings on their Orange campus.

IMEG is providing engineering design and construction administration services for renovation of the existing Bill Holmes and North towers. These renovation projects include:

Bill Holmes Tower

  • 28-bed Neuroscience Unit (7th floor)
  • 24-bed Cardiovascular ICU (6th floor)
  • Cafeteria Redesign for Improving Kitchen Workflow ER expansion
  • Command Center Renovation (2nd floor)
  • Med/Surg Build-out (7th floor)
  • New Maternal Fetal Center (4th floor)
  • OR and Interventional Radiology Room Renovation (3rd floor)

North Tower

  • Inpatient Heart Services (Level 6)
  • Kitchen Expansion (Level 1)
  • NICU Expansion – Existing 22,500-sf NICU/PICU Remodeled to New SBU/NICU
  • Relocation of Ronald McDonald House to 2nd Floor
  • Small Baby Unit with 26 Private Rooms (Level 2)
  • Therapeutic Space Renovation – Connection to the ER for (Level 1)
