New Boardwalk Entertainment Resort
The northernmost casino on the Atlantic City, NJ, boardwalk, Ocean Resort Casino (formerly known as Revel Resort and Casino) is a 5.8 million-sf entertainment resort, hotel, casino and spa sited on a large beachfront parcel with 1,000 feet of boardwalk frontage. At 61 stories and over 735 feet, the resort’s hotel tower is the tallest building in Atlantic City. It was also the city’s largest construction project since the construction of The Borgata.
IMEG provided structural engineering design services for the 1,900-key, cast-in-place concrete hotel and 1.5 million-sf steel- framed gaming and entertainment facilities with provisions for a second residential tower of the same height. The project included 150,000-sf casino space and 500,000-sf dining, retail and entertainment space, including a 5,500-seat theater, health club and spa, meeting space, and one-acre private beach.
