New Factory/Manufacturing Facility

IMEG provided structural engineering services for multiple buildings at the factory/manufacturing facility to be used for the fabrication, welding, and painting of 12 monopiles used for the offshore 1,110MW wind turbine facility being constructed by Orsted and PSEG.

Buildings include the Circ Weld Building, two paint and blast buidlings, and a roll bending facility. Significant soil and paving analysis was required due to heavy loading from the 12 meter diameter steel monopiles that were transporrted across the site using SPMTs (self propelled mondular transporters).

With the required location adjacent to the Delaware River, consid-eration to flooding was also key for site logistics and equipment and monopile storage.
