New Germantown Hospital

Holy Cross Hospital built a new hospital in Germantown in conjunction with a significant investment in its current hospital at Silver Spring to meet its strategic goal of offering improved primary care access and expanding hospital capacity to serve the needs of a growing and aging population.

The new Germantown Hospital is spread over 237,000 sf. The new 93-bed acute care hospital is equipped with state-of-the-art Operating rooms, emergency department, med/surgical floors, central sterile department, laboratory, pharmacy, imaging, ICU, etc. The detailed medical equipment budget included costs for PACS, LIS, RIS, CIS, Operating Room Management and all other software packages required.

IMEG provided innovative technological solutions to gain redundancy in imaging services. We also provided suggestions to improve current workflows, i.e. by bringing necessary lab services closer to operating rooms in order for diagnostic tools to be expediently available for the surgeons. IMEG provided smart Revit models at 100% DD and at 95% and 100% CD phases.
