New Greenfield Can Manufacturing Plant

IMEG provided engineering design and services for the new greenfield can manufacturing plant for Florida Can Manufacturing LLC in Winter Haven, FL.

The new facility includes process and production areas, a product warehouse, production office, administration office, a maintenance area, and manufacturing support spaces.

IMEG worked as a design partner for the Design-Build integrator and participated in regular meetings with the design team and owner’s representative. The team also worked with the process designers and general contractor during construction to address late changes in equipment and provide more efficient construction methods to complete the project.

The mechanical, electrical, and plumbing design serves the building and utilities to support the aluminum can manufacturing and production. Key systems and capabilities include two 15Kv utility services with four 2000Kva, 4000 amp, 480 volt services with fifth redundant service and 120,000-gallon fire protection storage tanks. All of the building’s electrical service equipment was pre-designed for efficiency, fabrication, and installation. All service entrances and underground feeders were coordinated for early construction activities, including structural foundation installations.
