Single Floor Grocery Store

IMEG provided engineering design and services for properties located in Chicago, Wheaton, Elmhurst, and Glenview, Ill. for stores ranging in size from 60,000-sf to 100,000-sf. A typical store is a single floor with parking on grade. 

The property in Chicago is unique in that there is a multi-story parking structure above the store, which required a different solution for the HVAC system. 

The fast-paced design and construction schedules for all projects demanded an integrated approach with the owner and other consultants, as well as detailed BIM drawings to coordinate the process requirements for the stores. The project team for each store remained the same and was supported by IMEG’s internal depth, which brought value to the owner in the way of institutional knowledge and consistency among each of the designs.
