New High School

IMEG provided land surveying, civil engineering, and site planning services from initial conceptual plans through final detailed civil/site construction plans and consultation during the ongoing construction of the 334,885-sf high school.

Services included storm sewer system design, stormwater management and best management practices design, water and sewer utility design, and water system modeling to provide fire flows for building protection, and athletic fields design. Engineering consultation, design and coordination with the owner, and project architect was provided throughout the project.

The site is located adjacent to the Jiffy Lube Live Amphitheater and existing Gainesville Middle School. Special design considerations included ensuring proper safety measures were provided with the proximity to the amphitheater, as well as providing safe pedestrian access from the middle school and Wentworth Green Neighborhood.
