New LAX Terminal 1.5

IMEG is providing engineering design and services for the new Terminal 1.5 development project at Los Angeles International Airport (LAX). The new, six-story building will be located between terminals 1 and 2 and include baggage claim, ticketing, security checkpoint, retail concession, and leasable office space.
Engineers provided mechanical, plumbing, and fire protection design for the facility, which also includes a bus gate, outbound and inbound baggage systems, loading dock with receiving area, vertical circulation, and rooms to support building services.

Additionally, all facilities within the terminal will have reduced energy and water consumption in compliance with the California Building Standards Code Tier 1.

The new terminal is expected to be completed in 2019.
