New Mixed-Use Building

IMEG’s Portland structural team provided engineering design and services for The Prescott Apartments, a mixed-use complex comprised of 155 apartments and six commercial spaces surrounding a beautiful courtyard. It’s prime location in the Interstate Corridor of North Portland gives residents and patrons easy access to the light rail line and freeway and makes it a great building for commuters in a growing community. The impressive rows of windows were made possible in the structural design by using rigid wood frames, moving all of the plywood shearwalls into the interior of the building. This project was the recipient of the 2014 DJC Top Projects Award – Private Building Category.
