New Multivenue Athletic Center

This project combined functions previously housed in four locations into the Falcon Center, a single, unified complex.
The facility provides students with a state-of-the-art location for the college’s Health and Human Performance academic program, Falcon athletics program, and recreation program. New programming space for indoor and outdoor activities also are provided along with updates to previously existing playing fields and sports venues.

New outdoor features of the project include a sports surface playing field for the Falcon football field, varsity soccer playing field and press box, recreational playing fields, manual controls of scoreboards located in the stadium press box and a control station on the field, and planning for a future track and field area.

Indoor building features include a competitive NCAA basketball arena and improved hockey arena (with back-loaded seating to improve visibility and functionality for fans, a new scoreboard, and oversized video screen) connected by a common concourse with support areas and concessions. Recreational gymnasiums, weight lifting and fitness areas, human performance laboratory, training rooms, locker rooms, dance and yoga studios, academic classrooms, offices, and conference room support areas are also included in the Falcon Center.
