Operating Room Renovation

IMEG provided engineering design services for a 1,500-sf existing Operation Room (OR) remodel which included a new imaging system, control room, surgical area, and system equipment room. Power distribution upgrades included a UPS system for uninterruptable power for the sensitive imaging equipment. The cooling upgrades provided additional capacity for the large amount of medical equipment in the new OR suite.

The medical equipment involved included: radiation shields on boom, 56” flat screen imaging monitor on boom, 3 smaller monitors on boom, cardiac mapping system, Siemens Artis Zeego (multi-axis robotic 3D imaging system and device guidance), LED surgical lighting on boom, and Mac-Lab hemodynamic recording system. Because of the vast amount of equipment that was going into the new OR suite, IMEG had to work closely with the hospital to coordinate the installation and integration of the equipment.
