The STRAT Hotel, Casino, and Skypod

At 1149 feet tall, the Stratosphere Tower is the tallest freestanding observation tower in the United States and ranks among the worlds’ tallest structures.  The Tower features a 12-level upper accommodation framed in steel supported by 775 feet of reinforced concrete resting on a mat foundation.

IMEG provided the structural engineering design for the Tower which included sophisticated computer modeling of dynamic behavior and nonlinear analysis of the reinforced concrete shaft. IMEG also supported wind tunnel studies which were contracted through Cermak Peterka Petersen, Inc.
