Transport Colorado Tank & Pump Station

IMEG was retained by Transport Colorado to work closely with CVL consultants to design a 1.5 MG Tank and Booster Pump Station for the initial phases of an industrial development that is anticipated to be annexed into the City of Aurora and eventually be integrated into the City’s Distribution System. IMEG was retained to develop tank layout drawings (including cathodic protection), system piping, a package pump station. Electrical, Instrumentation, Controls, and SCADA design was also included through COR Engineering.

Over the past year the design has progressed to 60% whereby an alternative was proposed to both Transport and the City to move toward an elevated tank concept to eliminate the need for booster pumping, and provide more redundancy to the future Aurora service area. Currently, the team is working to update the design of the elevated option for submittal to the City.
