Urban High-Rise Mixed-Use Development

Located across from Philadelphia’s Kimmel Center for the Performing Arts, this 400,000-sf, 47-story reinforced concrete residential building features 108 luxury condominiums with a residential lobby and a porte cochere, a fitness center and pool, library, game room, and garden terraces with outdoor dining. The project also includes ground-floor retail space as well as one level of above-ground parking for 151 cars with stackers.

IMEG provided structural engineering design services, along with parking consultation, for the tower. The building’s structural system consists of cast-in-place reinforced concrete columns, shear walls and floor slabs. The majority of the vertical structural elements are supported on shallow foundations with a limited number of podium columns supported by drilled piers.
