21c Museum Hotel St. Louis now open

The 21c Museum Hotel St. Louis, an adaptive reuse of a historic YMCA building, opened in August.

The 10-story YMCA was built in 1926 in the Renaissance Revival style and is listed on the National Register of Historic Places.

The hotel has 173 guest rooms and two multi-story suites (built in the Y’s former racquet ball courts), a curated art gallery and exhibition space, two restaurants, a gym, spa and swim club, and meeting and event space.

IMEG provided civil, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and fire protection engineering design services, and technology and acoustics services for the project, as a subconsultant to Perfido Weiskopf Wagstaff + Goettel.
