Arts United Center in Fort Wayne to get a $42.3 million renovation

The Louis Kahn-designed center, home to the Fort Wayne Civic Theater and Fort Wayne Youtheatre and used by community organizations, is 50 years old.

The renovation will make it accessible for people with disabilities, update theater technology and lighting, add space for the orchestra, reactivate stage traps and wing space, and add concession areas and restrooms. Once complete, it will expand the types of productions the facility can host.

IMEG will provide mechanical, electrical, plumbing, fire protection, and technology engineering design services for the renovation, which is expected to begin in 2024.
