Kansas City Zoo to open $75 million aquarium in 2023

The Kansas City Zoo in Kansas City, MO, is adding a $75 million aquarium to the zoo.

The three-story, 61,000-sf aquarium will include over 30 exhibits in six ocean habitats, each showing ocean life and a 650,000-gallon aquarium.

It’s the zoo’s largest capital project in its history.

IMEG provided structural engineering design for the support steel for a cooling tower and will provide commissioning for the project, slated to open in the fall of 2023.
