New VA healthcare clinic breaks ground in Missoula

Members of IMEG’s Montana civil team attended the Montana VA Health Care System’s recentgroundbreaking for the new David J. Thatcher VA Clinic in Missoula.

The $30.6M, 56,700-sf Community Based Outreach Clinic (CBOC) will be three times larger than the existing facility and more easily accessible due to its new location near multiple highways. It will provide a variety of medical services for veterans of Missoula and the surrounding area including primary care, women’s health, lab work, pharmacy, sleep therapy, prosthetic services, tele-health, and physical therapy.

Territorial Landworks now IMEG worked with Leo A Daly and PMRG on the preliminary civil site and utility designs, which included preparing meeting specifications and standards for layout to address VA facility needs for parking, ADA accessibility, pedestrian circulation requirements, and access to site amenities.

The clinic is expected to open in mid-2022.
