Princeton’s McCosh 50 Hall wins design award
The 2023 SARA NY Design Award of Honor has been awarded to 1100 Architect for Princeton University’s McCosh 50 Hall.
IMEG provided MEP, fire protection, and sustainability design and services for the project, which renovated and preserved the historically significant interior and included performance-based updates that render the space more efficient and equitable.
Architecturally, McCosh 50 received new seating, an upgraded floor system, new window treatments, as well as all new finishes. In addition to HVAC system upgrades, house and stage lighting was upgraded to LED and integrated into an existing LED-compatible lighting control system, audio visual systems were completely replaced, and the space was acoustically modeled and tuned for varying occupancies.
