Stephen H. Lucy receives Outstanding Alumni Honor Award from Texas A&M
IMEG’s Stephen H. Lucy, PE, has received a 2024 Outstanding Alumni Honor Award from Texas A&M University College of Engineering.
Steve, a 1982 graduate of Texas A&M, is executive principal and senior client executive for JQ Engineering, now IMEG, in Austin, TX, managing structural engineering staff in Austin, Dallas, and San Antonio. His career spans four decades in Texas and includes international experience as engineering manager in London, UK, for a joint venture between Datum and Robert West & Partners.
Steve joined JQ Engineering in 1994 and played a key role in establishing multiple offices across Texas before ultimately becoming chief executive officer in 2015. Under his leadership, JQ Engineering merged with IMEG in 2024, further enhancing its position in the Texas market.
The Outstanding Alumni Honor Awards are the highest honors given by the college, recognizing both the personal and professional accomplishments of the awardees.
