Three IMEG projects are among ENR Southwest’s Best Projects for 2023.

The Beam on Farmer

The Beam on Farmer is Arizona’s first multi-story mass timber office building. It was awarded Excellence in Sustainability and named Best Office/Retail/Mixed-use Project, and was a Best Project of the Year finalist. The 184,000-sf, five-story building in Tempe was constructed of cross-laminated timber (CLT) slabs, and glulam beams and columns. The exterior is clad in metal and glass panels. IMEG, the mechanical, electrical, and plumbing design engineer, used a low-profile, energy-efficient underfloor air distribution system, that provided air distribution and housed MEP systems usually placed in the ceiling.
