IMEG’s Joseph Camajani to present at conference in New Zealand

IMEG’s Joseph Camajani will co-present “Improving structural performance of an existing EBF and moment frame structure using fluid viscous dampers” at the New Zealand Society for Earthquake Engineering conference in Wellington, New Zealand, on April 11th.

Camajani will present the findings of a paper he co-authored with Lawrence Burkett of Maffei Structural Engineering and Nathan Canney of Taylor Devices, Inc. The paper and presentation focus on the voluntary seismic retrofit of 651 Gateway in South San Francisco, a 17-story office building that underwent an adaptive reuse and seismic retrofit. The building now serves as a life science laboratory.
