Two IMEG-designed university projects achieve LEED Platinum certification
Two IMEG-designed projects have achieved LEED Platinum certification: The College of Electrical and Computer Engineering (ECE) building at the University of Illinois in Champaign, IL, and Emory University’s Campus Life Center in Atlanta, GA.
The ECE building is the first on the University of Illinois’ campus to pursue a “net zero ready” design approach and is modeled to reduce energy consumption by 50 percent, achieving as close to Net Zero as was feasibly possible for the university. Read more.
Emory University’s Campus Life Center is the first building on campus to receive LEED Platinum certification. The building’s sustainable and energy-efficient systems include hydronic geothermal heat pumps, solar shading, and a high-performance envelope. Read more.
